485 visa cost: what the Temporary Graduate visa costs

What is the 485 visa cost? A clear breakdown of the Temporary Graduate visa application charge, family costs, health checks, skills assessment and more.

Published8 Jul 2027

The main cost of a subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visa is the government application charge, which the main applicant pays when they lodge, plus lower additional charges for a partner and each child included in the application. On top of that, budget for the things the visa requires: health examinations, police clearances, an approved English test if needed, a skills assessment for some streams, and Overseas Student Health Cover or equivalent for the visa period. Some applicants also face a second instalment in limited situations. The government charge is a set amount published by the Department of Home Affairs and it changes over time, so the figure you find online may already be out of date. Always confirm the current charge before you lodge.
